Weary and Heavily Burdened

Just to amplify: He is our Pace Setter if we come to Him for “soul” rest.

Jesus says in Matthew 11: [28] COME to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened by religious rituals that provide no peace, and I will GIVE you rest refreshing your souls with salvation. [29] Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me following Me as My disciple, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will FIND rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. [30] My yoke is EASY to bear and My burden is LIGHT.

He places His yoke upon us so we now become co-labors with Him; He sets the pace, the direction, He teaches us along the way, He keeps us from stumbling and perhaps going off a cliff. We give up control to willingly place ourselves under His control Guided by His Spirit Galatians 5:25.

We no longer have to do it all ourselves or perform; we walk alongside Him in surrendered obedience and learn of His ways. Jesus, said of Himself, " I AM the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except through Me". So, it is, "In Him that we live and move and have our being". The almost too good to be true news; The Gospel Message of Jesus.
